Bad na h-Achlaise Tuscan Oak

£49.95

Following an extraordinarily quick sell-out of the first release of our single malt whisky, our follow up releases have proved to be just as popular.

While a lot of care has been taken to deliver consistency, there are still slight differences between the two releases, especially as the spirit continues to mature in our red wines casks – giving each whisky its unique colour and character.

The distinct flavour of this single malt Scotch is accredited to the two very carefully selected casks in which it was vatted, to produce this lightly peated dram which has been finished in Tuscan red wine casks prior to bottling. With its distinct flavour and beautiful blush hue, we like to think of this malt as a North West Highlander embracing an old Tuscan friend.

This premium single malt Scotch whisky beautifully marries the world of peated and unpeated spirit to produce a characterful and finely balanced expression of the rugged and yet romantic north west Highlands. (46% abv. 70cl bottle)

An excellent way to try a new flavour and there’s no extra postage cost!

The marriage of peated and unpeated spirit produces a fine balanced expression of the rugged yet romantic north west Highlands. This stunning single malt whisky is a delight to the senses with the light aroma of smoke infused with lemongrass and fresh hay, that gives way to ripe peach and candied apricot. On the palate this malt Scotch offers initial hints of red berries sprinkled with peat, before coming to rest on flavours of warmed oats and cream blended with fresh fruits and hints of oak.

This traditional Scottish malt makes for the perfect dram, whether you like it neat, with a drop of water, or on the rocks.

  1. PATRICK M BARR

This is up there with my favourite Single Malt, Visited in September while on Holiday, Had to give it a try, Very deep Peaty warm flavour that takes me back to being by the sea in the highlands. This was well complemented with the Lark fire wild water which we got at the same time. We got some Sea side Gin for a present which I tried and loved, the present went down very well at Christmas thank you. Defiantly plan to visit again in the future. True credit to the Highlands.

  2. Adam Waters

A really delicious dram. A nice blend of peated and unpeated that keeps things interesting. It’s also got a really nice oily mouthfeel and a long finish.

The only thing keeping it from 5* is more info would be appreciated – how old is it (I suspect three years – which is fine!) etc

  3. David Martin

Down here in Aberfeldy we have the Dewars distillery but your malt is as fine as we have come across. We love the peaty flavour with some mid-Highland warm notes as well. You can get the gin here at House of Bruar but your whisky is more exclusive. Any excuse for a holiday though….

  4. Mads Boyd-Madsen

Very intersting whisky. And unusal colour. I love the mild peaty flavour and the hint of sweetnes. The feel is lovely and oily and I get all warm and wonderful from sipping this dram.
