Storm Strength Case
Badachro Gin 57° Storm Strength is a full flavoured, high strength version of the well known Badachro Gin. Originally created for use in cocktails, this powerful craft gin has become a popular spirit in standard G&Ts. However, it has been said that this ‘navy strength’ gin also works incredibly well when mixed in a negroni or gin martini.
On your first taste of this full flavoured gin, note the initial wave of myrtle, rose-hip and elderflower, that gives way to hints of liquorice combined with coriander, and eventually rests on a sweet lavender and citrus finish.
1 case of six 70cl bottles (free postage in the UK).
Full flavoured and high strength Scottish gin
Badachro Gin 57° Storm Strength is a full flavoured, high strength version of our fan-favourite Badachro Gin.
57% abv is the traditional ‘navy strength’ benchmark, coming from the days when sailors would test that their rum and gin rations hadn’t been watered-down. They did this by pouring some of the ration onto a small pile of gunpowder and lighting it. If the wet gunpowder burned, then the spirit was 57% abv or over, but if it didn’t... then someone had been ‘at it’! And as if by fate, Badachro Distillery is also located close to the 57° North line of latitude… and so our Storm Strength gin was born!
